Motorola to Set Up Two Separate Joint Ventures in India

Motorola is planning to set up separate joint ventures with two Indian IT companies, Tech Mahindra and Wipro. The alliance with Tech Mahindra, named Canvas M, will help telecoms develop messaging, entertainment, and e-commerce technologies used in mobile phones. Headquartered near Delhi, the new company will initially focus on the Indian market. The other joint venture, to be co-established by Motorola and Wipro, will be known as WMNetServ, and will be headquartered in Europe with operations centered in India. This company will help telecoms design and manage wireless and fixed networks.
